Looking for Detachment and Geology Happens

Reactions:
Those are two new Geoblogs I discovered in the last days and am glad to welcome into the Geoblogosphere. As it seems Silverfox is re-starting her blogging activity with Looking for Detachment. Geology Happens is a completely new Geoblog that has been inspired by the activity of the Geoblogosphere. I am looking forward for both to become interesting and active Geoblogs! Silverfox states to be an exploration geologist in her profile and I looking forward to read more especially about that aspect of geology.

Lost, I was partly inspired to get my unpublished blog onto blogger because there appears to be so few explorationists blogging. I'll see what I can do about talking about mining exploration - I'm somewhat concerned about being "discovered" - and I think that mining companies can be rather uptight about confidentiality. I have a lot of old stories, though...

Indeed, I have seen less than a handful of explorationists, yet, that field of geology can supply so many good stories and insight. Confidentiallity can be a problem but there is so much to talk about, too, that keeping the distance shouldn't be a too big problem. Usually I would write about stuff I like, find interesting, etc. but avoid anything that has to do with work for companies unless they gave permission of course. Gladly geologists make more fotos of rocks than themselfs or people so posting good fotos is always easy.

Lost!

Thanks for the welcome. The geoblogosphere has been a fun place to hang out and I thought it might be time to share some of my stories. I usually stay in the geologist-in-education role although my family will attest to to many impromptu geology lectures along the road or trail.
